I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
